Christmas

the cold breeze, the long cold nights, the sparkling colored lights in the streets, the colorful lanterns, the tree -- the tree of joy, yes, the Christmas tree. oh right, Christmas ! i love Christmas ! who could forget Christmas ?? (definitely not me ;D)

everyone's excited when we hear the word, "CHRiSTMAS." who wouldn't be ?? it's a day of sharing what you've got and giving love to people. its the time when our savior, Jesus, was born. we also receive gifts and we hear the children going around their neighbor to sing carols to each household. who wouldn't want to eat the delicacies sold outside the church ?? its sooo yummy that you couldn't resist.

december 25 is not the only time for Christmas, but we can celebrate it everyday by sharing and giving and thanking the lord for our blessings.

"Pagpapatibay ng Pagkataong Pilipino: Tugon sa Hamon ng Panahon"

A month of unending activities and hectic schedule had passed (ow, I’ll miss that one). Many things I’ve learned, many things have changed.

Filipinos are known to be strong, smiling and laughing their heart out though too many hedgehog dilemmas are ahead of them. One of the proofs that Filipinos are strong was when back-to-back typhoons crashed the Philippines yet we’ll still here, chin- up, and telling to the world, “we can do it!”

The month of November have been busy because lots of the activities that conducted by the different clubs. Kite flying, poster and slogan making, sayawit, and preparation for the Speech choir made the students busy (tons of quizzes and paper works are exempted :P) I guess I can call this month as Dilemma month. (I know its cheesy so forget about it! Why ?? (wala lang. LMAO. :DD) Because (its obvious in the title) well, I’ve been through lots of hedgehog dilemmas. Yet, I still enjoyed this month and I’m thankful ‘cause I’ve learn a lot of lessons.

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop
your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not
to surrender, that is strength. – MAHATMA GANDHI

PROGRESS THROUGH SCIENCE CULTURAL DIVERSITY

History and Science are related; and the past and the present has it's so called "connection" with each other. And thus, we, humans can gain more progress if we continue adapting with various science culture around the globe.

We should adopt Science culture. Yes, you can see so many gadgets and stuffs today and with a "closer" look, it's related to the previous inventions of our great scientist from the past. The modern scientist just improve and modernized the inventions from the past. Like telegram to cellphone, a room size calculator to a laptop and etc. So, we must care for these things and we must use it properly so that the next generations will again improve it. Remember guys that inventions are made for the betterment not for us to annihilate it. Moreover, we should really be concern for these things if we don't want humongous dilemma to happen.

In a futuristic sense of talking, there will be lots of inventions and discoveries that will make our lives more efficient and will bring us more success. :))

Wikang Filipino: Mula Baler hanggang buong Bansa

Friends, have you already heard Americans using Filipino language in America? The answer is no, right? In France? The answer is also No, right???? OKAY, TO CUT IN SHORT, only FILIPINOS are using Filipino language (Except when other ethnicities learn or know how to speak with it. Well, that’s another story.)

If you have observed, my friend, Bicolanos and Ilocanos can not understand each other. Why? Because of the fact that we DON’T have the same dialect that’s being used by this ethnics. That’s why they made the Filipino language—for us to understand each other and will have unity, get it???

Thus, Buwan ng Wika is really important to be celebrated every year. The main purpose why we celebrate it so that we can nurture more our own language.

All in all, our language and the fact that we’re celebrating it is really important for us Filipinos so we MUST BE PROUD of it. :)

Just The Beginning

Yeah. Life has a beginning to an end. As we end our third year high school life, we enter a new chapter of our life. July 1 is the start of classes and also the start of the First Grading Period. t first, i fell like, "booooooooooring !" haha :D but as time pass by, I'm enjoying it.

I've learned a lot especially in Physics and Mathematics. You know I really hate Math so it's a miracle for me to listen to the teacher and participate in solving those operose problems. When I was in third year, I honestly don't know how to solve the projectile. You know? How to find the range, the time it takes to travel and blah. blah. blah. all those kind of stuffs.. But then, I did not just learn academic stuffs.. I also learned how to grasp those challenges with happiness and strength. How to forgive those who hurt and betray you.

I know I'll learn more things and stuffs next grading. Learning is continuous, right? :D

SPEAK TO ME IN ENGLISH OR FILIPINO WITH KINDNESS

"Kindly speak to me in English or Filipino." You can read this I.D. tags being use by the English club officers and some students of Ilocos Sur National High School.

Recently, the English Club relaunch the Speak to me in English or Filipino campaign. What's the importance of knowing how to speak in English and/or Filipino properly and with kindness???

We all know that English is the universal language and Filipino is our national language. As a Filipino citizen, we MUST learn to speak in English and/or Filipino with kindness. Using this two language properly and with kindness makes us stand out among others. Today, the job offered here in the Philippines is limited or less work-pay so most of us go abroad. We can't go to other country by not knowing how to speak in English. I mean, you can't speak with the foreigner in our own dialect because they'll not understand it (unless they know how to speak in our dialect).

We must start speaking in English and/or Filipino NOW so that we can be competitive with others in the future. Don't care if your grammar is wrong, just speak with English or Filipino and you'll get used to it; and if someone corrected you, don't be angry, thank him instead for another lesson learned.

Be Happy, Be Healthy :)

Nowadays, we can read in the magazine, newspaper, and in the internet the different diseases that's sprawling all over the globe. Recently, there's that A(H1n1) from Mexico that affected the world, including the Philippines. Some died, some are still suffering.

Due to poor hygiene and unhealthy lifestyle, most of us is suffering from diseases. Common colds, influenza, fever, cardiovascular diseases, respiratory diseases and cancer are the most common among them. Not cleaning our surroundings, dirty water/food and not observing proper diet are some of the causes why we suffer from lifestyle diseases.

Because of financial problem, many of us die for the reason of not having enough money to buy their medicine. To prevent being such, we should observe healthy lifestyle such as eating nutritious foods, drinking plenty of water, cleaning our surroundings, observing proper diet and we must also avoid using those vices.

By being healthy, we can be happy. How? If we are healthy, we can do things that's making us happy. We can do the things we want to do if we're healthy. So what are you waiting for? Observe healthy lifestyle NOW. :)
